WHO WE ARE
Owned by the Native Village of Eyak, a Federally recognized Alaskan Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies brings a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients. Proud participants of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program since 2006, our companies consist of both current and graduated SBA 8(a) entities. Guided by our holding company, Copper River Management Company, and supported by our administrative services company, Copper River Shared Services, it is the mission of the Copper River Family of Companies to provide revenue to the Native Village of Eyak. The income generated from our companies helps the Native Village of Eyak fund health and social services, economic development, natural resource/environmental education, jobs, job training, and other benefi ts to the Native Village of Eyak in a manner that is consistent with Alaskan Native cultural values and traditions.
Unlike Alaskan Native Corporations (ANC’s), whose members are Alaskan Natives and own shares of stock in their respective corporation, the Copper River Family of Companies are wholly-owned by the Native Village of Eyak Tribe as a whole. The income we generate is provided back to the NVE Tribal members - not individuals - to help fund critical health and social services.
